About this Ministry
Headed by Ms. Zartaj Gul - a woman synonymous with breaking through class and gender-related glass ceilings - the Climate Change Ministry is a Cabinet-level ministry of the Government of Pakistan.
The Climate Change Ministry is looking for students or graduates who have expertise and/or an interest in certain areas pertinent to Pakistan’s response to Climate Change. Having conducted the 1 billion trees campaign and having banned plastic bag usage from many cosmopolitan areas and aiming to make Pakistan a regional leader in climate technology, the Climate Change Ministry is looking forward to welcoming an intern to help with one of the impactful projects it will have on offer in the Summer.
**In your cover letter please express why you are interested in a Dil Internship Project at this Ministry and why you think the role of this Ministry is particularly important. Those with some knowledge of the area of climate change will be given preference. Speculative applications will be accepted and, depending on the Ministry’s priorities for Summer, will be taken forward.**
Responsibilities
Interns in this role will:
Be provided the opportunity to gain insight into how the public sector in Pakistan functions and operates
Be able to shadow, work with and learn from prominent public sector employees
Be be able to take part and influence the direction of an impactful project that helps clean up Pakistan’s environment and tackle climate change in the region
